Daily Round-Up For July 31, 2013

Hello loyal readers! Welcome to the Daily Round-Up, redOrbit’s one stop shop for all of the latest, greatest, and most awesome music news of the day. Our hope is that you find something that interests you, and maybe something that brightens your day!

Chance The Rapper came out with a new music video today for his track Everybody’s Something. If you want to check it out, just head back to We All Want Someone To Shout For.

One of my favorite summery indie bands Real Estate played a show at a room called Maxwell’s this week, and there are some really nice pictures to commemorate the show. Check them out at We All Want Someone To Shout For.

Say what you will about Gorilla vs Bear, but at the end of the day, the guys running that website do have a pretty great taste in independent music. That’s why, at the end of every month when they put out a playlist of the sounds from the prior four weeks, it’s something to get interested in. You can check out the July 2013 Mix back at Gorilla vs Bear.

The Weeknd has been making a lot of news the past month ahead of the release of his upcoming record Kiss Land. Today he let loose with a new song, called Love In The Sky. You can listen back at The Line of Best Fit.

Indie band Foxygen has unfortunately been forced to cancel some dates on their tour after front man Sam France broke his leg. Our hopes are with France and we wish him a speedy recovery so Foxygen can get back to playing sweet music for us again. The full story is back at Consequence of Sound.

Gary Numan announced that he will release a new album, Splinter, on October 15th via his own record label Machine Music. He also premiered a new single off the record, entitled I Am Dust. You can listen to that song and find more details about the record by following the link back to Consequence of Sound.

And in what is probably the biggest news of the day, Justin Timberlake has released the music video for his new already-hit single Take Back The Night. If you would like to take a look at the new music video, you can hit the link and head back to We All Want Someone To Shout For.

And that is all the news we have for today folks! Hope you have a great day! You can check out my other articles here.
