Daily Round-Up For March 28, 2013

Hello you wonderful readers! Welcome to the one and only Daily Round-Up, redOrbit’s best collection of all of the greatest and most important news to bubble to the surface of the wonderful world of music. Like any other day, there have been a few interesting developments during the course of the day. So, without further ado, let’s jump in.

You know it is a great day when one of the TNGHT boys drops a fresh new song. Today the great Hudson Mohawke has been given the honor of blowing your mind for the day. While TNGHT tour and complete work on their upcoming release, the two parts of the whole, Hudson Mohawke and Lunice, have been working on some solo material as well. If we know anything about these trap stars, it is that they rarely turn in a weak effort at any time. And from the sounds and reception the song is garnering throughout the blog universe, it looks like this track is no exception. So please go give this song a listen! It has appropriately been titled “Pleasure.” You can hear it by following the link back to our friends at Oh So Fresh Music.

Alternative music creator Alt-J has been steadily working to break through to the independent spotlight. His most recent music has been lighting up independent radio, and he is well in to his extensive tour in support of his most recent record. So, he might be tied up and unable to create new and original music for a while.  Thankfully though, relatively unknown producer Fryars has found the time to throw together a dope new remix of Alt-J’s song “Dissolve Me” to keep the crowd tided over until some new material arrives. The music blogs have all been taking very kindly to this new song; so if you are a fan of Alt-J, it might be in your best interest to give the record a listen or two. You can listen by following the link back to The Music Ninja.

It looks like, after constant and seemingly never ending back and forth on the matter, hints and rumors and hushed whispers about Daft Punk headlining the Coachella Music Festival have finally been thwarted. As the headline reads, “No, they’re really not.” It seems that the lineup for Coachella has completely and finally been set. If you would like to follow the story and read all of the sad details about this regrettable story, you can follow the link back to the original story at Consequence of Sound.

And that is all the news we have for today folks! Hope you have a great day! And check out my other articles here. Have questions, comments, suggestions, or love?
