Dog Friendly Hotels

Are you looking for a hotel that will allow you to bring your furry family member? It can be very hard to travel when you’ve got your dog with you. Some hotels will flat turn you away when you ask about pets. But have no fear because you are not stuck. Many hotels are not just dog friendly hotels; many welcome pets, love to have them, in fact. Many hotel owners understand that our dogs are just as much a part of the family as our children, siblings, and parents. For many, dog friendly hotels are the only places we’ll stay regardless of whether or not we have our dogs with us. We support the fact that these hotels support all of our family members even the ones who bark.

If you are traveling, whether for pleasure or business, and you are going to be traveling with your dog, you’ll have to do a little leg work before you leave to find the perfect dog friendly hotels. But don’t worry; you’ll have some help. To find these dog friendly hotels, several websites provide options. DogFriendly.com has pretty comprehensive, world-wide travel guides for pet owners. They have guides specific to dog friendly hotels, cities, dining, events, and so much more. All you have to do is pick the guide that will best assist you, then pick your location. It’s pretty easy to use and provides a nice listing to all the dog friendly hotels you want plus tons of additional information.

Another pretty helpful website is petswelcome.com. This website also provides information about pet sitting, pet-friendly vacation rentals, and pet-services and travel information in addition to the dog friendly hotels. It seems to be focused mainly on the United States, but it’s still a great site to explore when planning for travel.

Even travel sites like Expedia provide information for dog friendly hotels. While you’re booking that flight and rental, just look a little bit longer into the hotels that will best suite your and your pet’s needs. It’s worth the time up front. Who wants to seek out a hotel after a long day of travel?

Dog owners love their buddies like family members, and just like with a family member who needs special accommodations, when traveling we must look for the dog friendly hotels. With a little bit of research before we leave, we can find the perfect hotel for all our family members especially the four-pawed pals.
