GTA V Soundtrack Info Leak

Although the leak has been properly sealed shut for all intents and purposes of PR and surprise by Rockstar Games, we got to see a sneak peak leak of a considerably large track list for the radio stations of Grand Theft Auto V. While I’m not entirely sure whether or not these songs pertain to the soundtrack of the game or the radio stations, I can say with confidence that these songs were sighted by numerous Playstation pre-orders.

The information came about through a few file update leaks, which made themselves visible to Playstation pre-orders in light of Rockstar’s digital bundle available for pre-order. Lucky Nosy Nelly’s spotted a track list for a number of radio stations, mostly depicting the game’s Hip-Hop and rap stations, but also throwing a mix of country and rock songs as well. Metal has a seriously low presence on the list, but keep in mind that this list is in no way legally official to the Internet. Because of that, I can’t provide any images or concrete visual proof of these tracks’ existence.

What I can provide is info, and IGN just so happens to be flooding with it in regard to the game’s music list. Taken from this article, we can already see that the game is planning on taking players back to the early nineties gang feel of San Andreas, and with good reason. The game has been confirmed to be returning to a physical San Andreas remake of the 2005 best-selling free roam for Xbox and Playstation 2. Like it’s spiritual predecessor, GTA V looks to revive the rhythms of West Coast rap and Tupac properly as players shoot, drive, and explode their way through over 700 missions in GTA online and an undetermined number of campaign hours for the game’s three protagonists.

Like previous entries in the series, Rockstar looks to be focusing heavily on the ethnic persuasion of the characters, bringing in cultural references from Gangster life in the inner city limits, country life out in Blaine Country with tractors and meth labs, or right in Vinewood with paparazzi and annoying tourists. Without further ado, take a look at a bit of the music leak-taken from IGN.
