International Weather Outlook: April 23, 2013
Weather Forecast for North America on April 23, 2013
An area of low pressure will move up the east coast of the United States; this will bring a few showers and clouds to most of the Mid-Atlantic region. Low pressure moving through Iceland will bring rain to Iceland and heavy snows to Greenland. Another area of low pressure moving out of the Plains and towards the Great Lakes will bring rain to the south and snow to the Western Lakes. High pressure will build in over the northern Plains and bring another round of 20-30 degree below normal temps to the area. Temps will be in the single digits for most of Greenland warming to the 30’s for Iceland. The 40-50’s will dominate a good portion of the east coast and back into the Great Lakes. The 30’s will dominate the Northern Plains, while the 70’s will be across the Gulf Coast region.
Weather Forecast for South America on April 23, 2013
High pressure over the southern part of Argentina will bring partly cloudy skies to the region. A few rain showers will be possible over extreme northeastern Brazil. High pressure along the west coast will keep places from Peru to Chile dry as well. The extreme northeast part of Brazil will see high temps in the mid 80’s, while back inland look for temps to fall into the 70’s. The 50-60’s will dominate from southern Brazil into northern Argentina. Southern Argentina and Chile will see high temps in the 30’s.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on April 23, 2013
Low pressure moving through the Scandinavian area will bring snow showers to places from Denmark to Finland and Sweden. High pressure over England will bring nice weather to the region and this will expand into Spain and France as well. Another area of high pressure over Eastern Europe will bring partly cloudy skies to the region; this will extend southward into Italy as well. A dry and very warm day is in store for the Middle East. The northern part of Europe will see high temps in the 40’s while central Europe from London to Germany will deal with 50’s. Madrid to Venice will see high temps in the 60’s and 70’s. The northwest part of Saudi Arabia will only get into the 70’s, while the rest of the region will see high temps in the 80’s and 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on April 23, 2013
High pressure over South Africa will bring partly cloudy skies to the region. A few showers will be possible over Somali. A weak area of low pressure moving through central Africa will bring showers to parts of North Africa and cooler conditions. The northwest and southern tip of Africa will see high temps in the 70-80’s while the rest of the region will get into the mid 80’s. Madagascar will be in the upper 80’ while the Cape Verde Islands will be in the lower 80’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on April 23, 2013
High pressure will dominate most of the region with partly cloudy skies to sunny skies and very warm as places in India will get close to 100F again. Afternoon showers will be possible across Singapore and back into Jakarta. This region will see near 100F in India to the upper 80’s and lower 90’s across the rest of the region.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on April 23, 2013
Low pressure moving through the Sakhalin Region will bring light snow to the area, while high pressure over Japan will bring partly cloudy skies to Japan. A new storm system will develop over eastern China and begin to bring showers to the region this will also spread eastward towards the Korea’s. A nice day is in store for places such as Hong Kong, Manila and eastward to Guam. The 20-30’s will dominate northern Russia, while temps will warm to the 40’s and 50’s for northern China and Japan. Look for the 50-60’s for southern Japan and westward through the Korea’s and further east into eastern China. The 80’s will be possible for Hong Kong, while the upper 80’s for both Manila and Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for April 23, 2013:
A weak trough over northwest Australia will bring showers to places like Brisbane, while high pressure over the southwest part of Australia will bring sunny skies to the west for places like Perth. Partly cloudy skies will also prevail throughout southeast Australia around Sydney and into New Zealand. The northwest part of Australia will see high temps in the upper 80’s, while Perth will be in the mid 70’s and Sydney will only get to the 50’s and lower 60’s. New Zealand will be in the 50’s as well.
