International Weather Outlook: April 28, 2013
Weather Forecast for North America on April 28, 2013
High pressure over the northeast US will keep the region dry; this will spread northward into eastern Canada and into Greenland and Iceland, as well. A new storm system moving into the central Plains will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region. This will spread into the Gulf Coast by later in the afternoon. A few snow showers will be possible for Alaska as another storm system enters the region. Afternoon showers will also push through Hawaii. The 20’s and 30’s will dominate most of Greenland and Iceland, while the 50’s surge well northward into eastern Canada. The 60’s will hit the east coast of the United States, while the 80’s hit the Gulf Coast and parts of the southeast. The Pacific Northwest will see temps in the 50’s.
Weather Forecast for South America on April 28, 2013
Look for showers to develop through northern South America and into parts of Brazil. Western South America remains dry, as does the southern part of the country. Extreme eastern Brazil will see high temps in the upper 80’s while the rest of Brazil will be in the 70’s. The east coast of South America will be rather chilly with high temps in the 40’s and also 50’s across the tip.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on April 28, 2013
A storm system moving on shore will bring rain showers to Spain and northern Europe, while cloudy skies will be found from London to Venice. The eastern part of Europe will also be under partly cloudy skies. A storm system moving across parts of the Middle East will bring a few showers to the area; nothing significant, but expect to see some dust storms in the area with the stronger winds. The majority of Europe, from England to Germany, will see high temps in the 50’s and a few 60’s. Spain to Italy will be in the 60’s with a few 70’s possible. The heat will continue over the Middle East with some places getting into the upper 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on April 28, 2013
The northern part of Africa will be dealing with a few showers, along with places from Somalia towards the west coast of Africa. Look for partly cloudy skies from South Africa into Madagascar. Partly cloudy skies will also be present across the Cape Verde Islands. The southeast part of Africa will be in the lower 80’s, while the rest of the country will be in the upper 80’s and 90’s. The Cape Verde Islands will be in the upper 70’s, while Madagascar will be in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on April 28, 2013
Sunny skies and warm weather will dominate from India into Sri Lanka. A few afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible across Singapore into Jakarta and up towards Malaysia. The heat will be on for India and Sri Lanka with many places seeing high temps in the upper 90’s to lower 100’s. Singapore to Jakarta and Malaysia will be in the upper 80’s.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on April 28, 2013
A storm system moving through northeast Russia will bring a few showers to the region; this will extend eastward into the Kuril Islands, as well. High pressure will start to build in over eastern China. This will bring partly cloudy skies to the region; expect that to push towards the Korea’s and southern Japan later in the day. A nice day in store for Hong Kong with partly cloudy skies and also a warm day in store for Manila with partly cloudy skies as well. Guam will enjoy a nice day with partly cloudy skies and moderate easterly winds. Northeast Russia and northern Japan will be in the 40’s while eastern China and parts of central Japan like Tokyo will be in the 60’s. Hong Kong will see high temps in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s while Manila will be again in the 90’s, expect the 80’s for Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for April 28, 2013
An area of low pressure to the northeast of Australia will bring a few afternoon showers to Brisbane. Partly cloudy skies and high pressure will dominate western Australia. A frontal boundary moving through southern Australia will bring showers to Sydney and cloudy skies to New Zealand. Northwest Australia will be in the upper 80’s, while central Australia cools to the 70’s and then southeast Australia around Sydney will only be in the 60’s. The same will hold true for New Zealand expect to see 50’s and 60’s.
