International Weather Outlook: April 30, 2013
Weather Forecast for North America on April 30, 2013
Low pressure will be moving out of Oklahoma and towards the northeast; expect to see showers stretch from the Gulf Coast into the Great Lakes. Thunderstorms may be possible along the frontal boundary. High pressure out west will keep the region nice from the Rockies to the west coast. A surface low moving through central Canada will bring a few snow showers to the region, while Greenland and Iceland enjoy cloudy and cool days. A warming trend will occur from eastern Canada all the way to the Gulf Coast, with many places in the 60’s for Canada and the northeast. The 70’s will be in the southeast and 80’s over the Gulf Coast. A sharp cool down will be in place over the northwest US with temps in the 30’s and 40’s and a 50’s along the coast near Seattle.
Weather Forecast for South America on April 30, 2013
The majority of South America will be dealing with partly cloudy skies, while no major weather features will impact the region. A strong push of warm air will occur from Brazil into parts of Argentina with many places in the 80’s to the 70’s through most of Argentina, the only exception will be southern Argentina where temps will be in the 50’s.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on April 30, 2013
A frontal boundary moving towards England will bring showers through the region and this will expand into northeast Europe, as well for Finland and Demark. High pressure will keep southeast Europe nice from Spain to Italy. A frontal boundary moving through the region will bring a few isolated showers to parts of the Arabian Peninsula. The 50’s and 60’s will dominate Europe from England across to Sweden. While 70’s will be found from Spain to Germany, Italy may be seeing temps near 80. The warm weather will continue through the Middle East with another day of temps in the 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on April 30, 2013
An area of low pressure to the northeast of Madagascar will bring showers to the region. These showers will expand into eastern Africa, as well. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the remainder of the country. Northwest Africa and southeast Africa will be the cool spots with temps in the 70’s while the rest of the continent enjoys 80’s and some 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on April 30, 2013
High pressure will keep it warm throughout most of Southeast Asia from New Delhi to Singapore. The region will have plenty of sunshine. A few afternoon showers will be possible over Jakarta. The heat will be felt from New Delhi to Singapore, with New Delhi approaching the 100 mark and Singapore hitting the upper 80’s to lower 90’s. The warm weather will expand across Southeast Asia into Malaysia and Jakarta.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on April 30, 2013
A frontal system moving through eastern China will bring showers to the region; this will extend eastward into the Korea’s and most of Japan from the south into the Tokyo region. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Hong Kong into Manila; the heat will also be over Manila. Partly cloudy skies will be over Guam as well. We are also watching an area of interest to the south of Guam for potential tropical development over the next couple of days. The cool weather will be found over northeast Russia and northern Japan where some places will only get to the 40’s. From eastern China into central Japan, temps will rise into the 60’s and a few 70’s. Hong Kong will approach the lower 80’s while Manila will be in the 90’s again. Guam will enjoy the easterly winds and high temps in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for April 30, 2013
High pressure will bring partly cloudy skies to most of Australia and New Zealand. Northwest Australia will see temps in the mid 80’s while central Australia will only get into the 70’s. The cool spot will be south of Sydney where temps will only get into the 40’s. Expect more of that cold over New Zealand as well.
