Weather Forecast for North America on August 27, 2013
A frontal boundary over the Great Lakes will bring showers to portions of the lakes and southeast Canada, while another frontal boundary moves through Greenland bringing showers to the region. Low pressure over the southwest will bring showers and flooding to the region, while the heat dominates the northern Plains. The west coast will remain dry, while a storm system moves into Alaska bringing showers to the region. Temps will be cool across Greenland again with high temps in the 30’s. Look for 50’s and 60’s for eastern Canada warming to the 70’s and a few 80’s for the east Coast of the US, while the southeast and Gulf Coast will be in the 80’s and 90’s. The hot spot will be the northern Plains with high temps in the 90’s and 100’s along with heat index values near 110.
Weather Forecast for South America on August 27, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will prevail from Peru to Brazil and southward into northern Chile and Argentina, while the frontal boundary over southern Chile and Argentina will bring another day of rain and snow showers. Eastern Brazil will be in the 80’s, while Peru hits the 70’s. Look for 60’s across northern Argentina rapidly cooling to the 30’s for southern Argentina and Chile.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on August 27, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will prevail from England to Spain and into Italy, while a few showers will be possible from Germany to Moscow; partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather over northern Europe, as well. Sunny skies and hot weather will prevail over the Middle East. Western Europe to include England will be in the 70’s, while the 80’s hit most of the rest of Europe, with a few 90’s in Spain. Temps will be in the 105-115 range for the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on August 27, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will be found over northern Africa, giving way to afternoon showers and thunderstorms along the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). This area will need to be watched over the next few days for possible new tropical development. Southern Africa will see mostly cloudy skies along with a few showers and very windy conditions. Africa will see temps in the 70’s and 80’s; a few upper 60’s may be possible over South Africa.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on August 27, 2013
The southwest monsoon will bring another day of heavy rainfall over the region from India to Singapore and afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be found from Malaysia to Thailand. The region will be in the 80’s and 90’s from India to Singapore and northward into Thailand.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on August 27, 2013
Frontal boundary over eastern Russia will bring showers to the region. These showers will expand southward and also look for thunderstorms to embed in the showers from the Korea’s to Japan. Partly cloudy skies will prevail over eastern China. Hong Kong and Manila will see an increase in tropical moisture as another tropical system is located in the area. Guam will see afternoon showers, as well. Northeast Russia will be in the 50’s, warming to the 60’s for northern Japan and further warming to the 80’s and 90’s for eastern China, into the Korea’s and also over Japan. Hong Kong and Guam will be in the 80’s while Manila hits the lower 90’s.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for August 27, 2013
Frontal boundary moving into southwest Australia will bring showers to the region along with cooler air, while partly cloudy skies dominates the weather from northern Australia into Sydney and Auckland. Northwest Australia will be in the 70’s cooling to the 60’s for Perth and the 50’s for Sydney and Auckland.
