Weather Forecast for North America on August 28, 2013
A frontal boundary moving through Greenland will bring showers to the area. Partly cloudy skies will prevail from eastern Canada, while a few afternoon showers will be possible over the Great Lakes and into the northeast. Showers and thunderstorms will extend from Mexico City, Mexico to Miami, Florida. The southwest US will also be showers and thunderstorms, while a frontal boundary approaching Alaska will bring showers to that region. Greenland will see temps in the 40’s, while eastern Canada warms to the 70’s and 80’s; the northeast will warm back up into the 70’s and a few 80’s, as well. The heat will build over the southeast and Gulf Coast with upper 80’s to mid-90’s and the Plains will be hot again especially over the northern Plains, with high temps in the 97-102F range and heat index values near 110.
Weather Forecast for South America on August 28, 2013
Partly cloudy skies from Peru to Brazil and will extend southward into northern Chile and Argentina, while another day of low pressure over southern Argentina and Chile will give the region another round of showers and snow showers. Temps will be in the 80’s from Brazil westward into Peru, while cooler 60’s will be over northern Argentina and the 30’s will hit southern Argentina along with the snow.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on August 28, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will extend from northern Europe to England and eastward into Spain and Italy, while a few showers will be possible over Moscow. Sunny skies and hot weather will be in store for the Middle East. Northern Europe will be in the 50’s and 60’s, while England will be near 70; warmer weather for Spain and Italy with high temps in the 80’s and a few 90’s. The Middle East will be hot again with high temps in the 100-110 range.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on August 28, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will extend across most of northern Africa, while showers and thunderstorms will be possible through central Africa. Southern Africa will also see partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions, while Madagascar and the Cape Verde Islands will see partly cloudy skies. Northern Africa will have temps in the 80’s and 90’s, while southern Africa will see temps in the 70’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on August 28, 2013
Southwest monsoon will bring another day of moderate rainfall across most of India and into Sri Lanka, while afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible from Singapore to Thailand. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s across the entire region from India to Sri Lanka and eastward into Thailand and Singapore.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on August 28, 2013
A strong storm system moving through eastern China and northeast Russia will provide more rainfall to the region; this will also expand over into the Korea’s and Japan. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible for Hong Kong, while Tropical Storm Kong-Rey hits Manila with more heavy rainfall. Guam will also see afternoon showers. Cooler weather will be seen over most of northeast Russia and northern Japan with high temps in the 50’s and 60’s. Look for it to warm to the 80’s across most of eastern China, into the Korea’s, and further east over Japan around Tokyo. Hong Kong and Guam will be in the 80’s along with Manila.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for August 28, 2013
A storm system moving across southwest Australia will bring showers to the region, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the majority of Australia. A few showers will be possible over northeast Australia around Brisbane. Temps will be in the 70’s over most of northern Australia, cooling to the 60’s for southwest Australia, and even a few 50’s for southeast Australia.
