International Weather Outlook: July 4, 2013

Weather Forecast for North America on July 4, 2013

High pressure over the Great Lakes will bring a short dry period to parts of the east coast. A tropical wave will be pushing on shore over the Gulf Coast bringing with it showers and thunderstorms, heavy rains, flooding and storm surge, along with damaging winds from Florida to eastern Mississippi. High pressure out west will keep the region hot and dry again. The 30’s will dominate Greenland, while the 60’s and 70’s hit eastern Canada and the northeast US. The 80’s and 90’s will dominate the weather from the Mid-Atlantic through most of the Gulf Coast. Look for 90-100’s in Texas and even 110-120 over parts of the southwest.

Weather Forecast for South America on July 4, 2013

A frontal boundary moving through Argentina will bring showers to the area. The remainder of South America will enjoy partly cloudy skies. The 70’s will dominate most of Brazil, while the 40’s and 50’s hit northern Chile. The temps will fall into the 30’s for southern Chile and also southern Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on July 4, 2013

A few showers will be possible over northwest Europe, while partly cloudy skies will extend into England, giving way to sunny skies for Spain and eastward into Italy. The Middle East will be dry and hot again. The 70’s will dominate England, warming to the 80’s and 90’s for Spain and eastward into Italy. The 90-110 range will be found over the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on July 4, 2013

Northern Africa will enjoy sunny skies, while a few clouds will be over the Cape Verde Islands. Look for a few showers through Central Africa, giving way to sunny skies over southern Africa from Cape Town to Madagascar. The majority of Africa will have temps in the 80’s and 90’s, while southern Africa will see temps in the 50’s and a few 60’s.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on July 4, 2013

The monsoonal rains will be impacting most of the region, with the heaviest precipitation over India. Look for flooding rains to continue in this region, while afternoon scattered showers will setup over parts of Sri Lanka and into Singapore. The temps will be in the 90-100 range for India, cooling to the 90’s for Sri Lanka and into Singapore. Expect temps in the lower 80’s over Thailand.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on July 4, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather over northeast Russia and also into eastern China, the Korea’s and most of Japan. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible over southeast China, including Hong Kong. Look for partly cloudy skies in Manila, while afternoon showers setup over Guam. The 70’s will dominate the weather over northeast Russia into northern Japan, while the 80’s hit from eastern China through the Korea’s and into Central Japan. The 80’s and 90’s will also be found over Hong Kong, Manila and Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for July 4, 2013

Australia will enjoy partly cloudy skies from the west to the east, while showers will be found over New Zealand. Northern Australia will have temps in the 60’s, while central Australia cools to the 50’s. A few 30’s and 40’s will occur over southern Australia.
