International Weather Outlook: June 29, 2013

Weather Forecast for North America on June 29, 2013

Low pressure moving up the eastern United States will bring severe weather along with more flooding rains to the area. These storms will extend into the southeast and Gulf Coast region, as well. High pressure will bring nice weather to the Dakota’s; however, a few thunderstorms will still be over the Great Lakes. The southwest and western US will be dry and hot. Temps will be in the 40’s for Greenland, warming to the 70’s and 80’s for the eastern US and parts of eastern Canada. The 90’s will be over the southeast and Gulf Coast, while the 90-110 range will dominate most of the southwest US. The 80’s will be over a good portion of the west, as well.

Weather Forecast for South America on June 29, 2013

A frontal boundary moving through Argentina will bring showers to the area. This will also impact southern Chile, while partly cloudy skies will be found over the remainder of South America. The majority the northern section will see temps in the 80’s and 90’s for Brazil and Peru. The 70’s hit will southern Brazil and northern Argentina, further cooling to the 30’s and 40’s for southern Chile and southern Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on June 29, 2013

There will be a few showers over the Scandinavian region;; otherwise partly cloudy skies for England, becoming sunny for Spain and eastward into Italy. The Middle East will have plenty of sunshine and heat. Most of Europe will be in the 70’s, while the 80’s will be possible over Spain and Italy. The 100-115 range will be found over the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on June 29, 2013

The northern region will see sunny skies to include the Cape Verde Islands. Partly cloudy skies will be found from central Africa to South Africa including places like Cape Town. Cape Town will also be dealing with very strong winds. Northern Africa will be in the 80’s and 90’s, some interior places will see the 100’s. Central Africa will be in the 70’s, while South Africa will be in the 50’s.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on June 29, 2013

The monsoonal moisture will continue to push into India and Sri Lanka, while afternoon thunderstorms and showers will be possible from Singapore to Jakarta. India to Sri Lanka and eastward into Singapore will have temps in the upper 90’s, with a few 100’s over India. Look for the 80’s and 90’s for Thailand and Jakarta.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on June 29, 2013

Partly cloudy skies will dominate northeast Russia, while the stationary boundary stays over parts of eastern China and the Korea’s over towards Tokyo. This area will see rain showers throughout the day. Thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon hours for Hong Kong, while tropical moisture will be on the increase over Manila associated with the new tropical developing to the east of the area. Guam will enjoy a nice afternoon with partly cloudy skies. Northeast Russia will have temps in the 60’s, while the temps for Shanghai to Seoul and over to Tokyo will be in the 70’s and 80’s. Hong Kong will see temps in the upper 80’s along with Guam and Manila.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for June 29, 2013

An approaching frontal system will bring showers to Perth and southwest Australia, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the majority of Australia, to include Sydney. There will be a few showers over portions of New Zealand. Northern Australia will be in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s, temps will cool towards Perth to around the 50’s and even some 40’s near Sydney and into portions of New Zealand.
