International Weather Outlook: May 10, 2013
Weather Forecast for North America on May 10, 2013
A storm system will be moving northward towards Greenland and Iceland bringing a few showers to the region. A powerful storm system will be moving through the southern Plains and Gulf Coast of the US, bringing with it severe weather, large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes to the region along with heavy rains. The west coast of the United States will remain mostly dry with a few showers possible over the Rockies. The temps will be in the 30’s for most of Iceland and Greenland. The east coast of Canada and the United States will be in the 60’s and 70’s. Looking for the 80’s along the southern Plains and into the Gulf Coast ahead of the next storm system.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 10, 2013
Sunny skies will dominate most of the north, while a frontal boundary moving through Argentina will bring showers to the region and cooler weather. Partly cloudy skies will be found along the southwest coast as well. The 80’s will be found through most of Brazil, while the 60-70’s will be found in Chile and Peru. The 70’s will be found through northern Argentina cooling to the 30’s and 40’s over southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 10, 2013
Frontal boundary approaching the region will bring showers and t-storms to England and southward towards Spain; there could also be a few showers over Italy. Mostly cloudy skies will extend through Northern Europe. It will be hot and dry weather in store for the Middle East. The 50’s and 60’s will be found across England warming to the 70’s for Spain eastward into Italy. The heat will be on for the Middle East with temps soaring over 100F.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 10, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will be found across most of northern Africa, while sunny skies dominate the rest of the region, with no major weather impacts forecasted for the area; this includes the Cape Verde and the Madagascar Islands. Temps will be in the 70’s for the Cape Verde region, while the 70’s and 80’s will dominate most of Africa. South Africa will be cooler with temps in the 60’s. Warm weather will be over Madagascar with high temps in the 80’s.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 10, 2013
Sunny skies and warm weather will dominate northern India, while mostly cloudy skies will be seen over southern India and into Sri Lanka. Afternoon showers will be possible over Singapore and Malaysia, extending southward towards Jakarta. High temps will be over India as temps rise to near 102-107F for southern India into Sri Lanka. Temps will be in the mid 90’s, while the lower 90’s will be found in Singapore cooling to the 80’s for Malaysia.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 10, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will dominate northeast Russia and into Japan. Sunny skies will be found across eastern China into the Korea’s. Look for showers and isolated t-storms for Hong Kong extending into Manila. There will be afternoon showers also possible for Guam with moderate easterly trade winds. Warm air will be in place over most of Japan with temps in the 70’s and upper 80’s across the country. Upper 80’s will be possible over Shanghai. A cooler day in store for Hong Kong with high temps in the lower 80’s warming to the upper 80’s for Manila and Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 10, 2013
Partly cloudy skies over most of Australia with a few showers possible over northern Australia, while sunny skies will dominate New Zealand. Western Australia will be in the mid 70’s, while eastern Australia only gets into the upper 60’s to lower 70’s, cooler weather over New Zealand with high temps in the 60’s.
