International Weather Outlook: May 26, 2013

Weather Forecast for North America on May 26, 2013

Low pressure moving through the Northeast United States will bring showers to the region and heavy rain. An area of high pressure building in over the Great Lakes and Ohio River valley will bring frost and freezing conditions to the region. Another area of low pressure moving through the Plains will be the focus of severe weather for the day. There will be partly cloudy skies along the West Coast. Afternoon showers will develop over Hawaii; while another frontal boundary approaches Alaska will bring showers to the area. Temps will be in the 20’s for Greenland warming to the 30’s over Iceland. The 50’s will be along the Northeast, while the Southeast will see temps in the 70’s and a few 80’s. The Gulf Coast will be in the 80’s. The 70’s and 80’s will surge into the Northern Plains ahead of the next storm system. The West Coast will deal with mostly 60’s and 70’s, except for the Southwest were temps will surge into the 90’s and a few 100’s.

Weather Forecast for South America on May 26, 2013:

Partly cloudy skies will dominate the northern part of the country, while a few showers will be along the ITCZ from west to east. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Southern Chile into Argentina. Showers will be possible in the afternoon over parts of Brazil as well. Temps in Northeast Brazil will rise to the upper 80’s while Peru will see temps in the 70’s cooling to the 60’s for Northern Argentina and further cooling to the 40’s over Southern Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 26, 2013:

London to Scandinavia the region will see partly cloudy skies, while sunny skies will dominate the weather from Spain to Italy and northward towards Germany. A hot and sunny day will be seen over the Middle East as well. The 60’s will be over London, while the 70’s and 80’s dominate Spain to Italy. Temps in the Middle East will soar into the 100-110F range.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 26, 2013:

Northern Africa will enjoy sunny skies; this will extend into the Cape Verde Islands as well. Partly cloudy skies will be found over most of Central Africa, this will extend into Southern Africa as well. The partly cloudy skies will also be found over Madagascar. Hot weather will be in store for most of Africa with temps soaring into the 90’s and 100’s for many, while the Cape Verde Islands will see mid 80’s and upper 80’s for Madagascar.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 26, 2013:

Partly cloudy skies will be in store for Northern India, while afternoon showers will be possible form Sri Lanka across to Singapore and northward into Thailand. There will also be afternoon showers for Malaysia and Jakarta. Temps will be in the 100-110F range for Northern India, cooling to the 90’s over Sri Lanka and Singapore. The lower 90’s will hit Thailand and Malaysia.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 26, 2013:

Mostly cloudy and showers will be possible over Northeast Russia, giving way to partly cloudy skies over Northern Japan. A frontal boundary will bring showers to Shanghai, while Tokyo will deal with partly cloudy skies, this will extend into Seoul. Sunny skies are in store for Hong Kong, which will make for a very nice day. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible over Manila. The light southeasterly winds will bring mostly sunny skies to Guam as well. Temps will be in the 50’s over Northeast Russia warming to the 60’s for Northern Japan. Temps will soar into the 80’s over Eastern China and parts of South Korea and into Southern Japan. Hong Kong will see warm weather as well with temps in the upper 80’s, while Manila will be in the mid 90’s. Guam will see mostly sunny skies and warm weather as well, with high temps in the lower 90’s.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 26, 2013:

Sunny skies and high pressure will dominate the entire region from Western Australia to Eastern Australia and also over into New Zealand. Temps will be the 60’s over Western Australia cooling to the 50’s for Sydney and upper 40’s for parts of New Zealand.
