International Weather Outlook: May 9, 2013
Weather Forecast for North America on May 9, 2013
A storm system moving through the southern Plains will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region; expect to see some severe weather associated with that area. Also, the low over the east will bring rain showers to Boston and the northeast. A nice day is in store for the west coast and over in Hawaii with light trade winds in that region. Temps will be in the 20’s and 30’s over Greenland and Iceland. The temps will be rising along the east coast of the United States from the 50’s and 60’s, looking at the 70’s and 80’s over the southeast and Gulf Coast. Temps will be mild out west with temps approaching the 70’s across western Canada into the Pacific Northwest.
Weather Forecast for South America on May 9, 2013
Look for showers over the northern part of the region, especially for parts of Peru. Mostly cloudy skies will extend down the west coast, while the east coast will enjoy partly cloudy skies; this will extend into the tip of South America. Temps will be in the mid 70’s across most of Brazil, cooling to the 60’s for northern Argentina, further cooling to the 30’s and 40’s for south Argentina. Temps in the 70’s for parts of Chile and Peru.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on May 9, 2013
A storm system moving across Western Europe will bring showers to Spain and England. Look for mostly cloudy skies across most of Eastern Europe to include Italy and Germany. Partly cloudy skies and very warm weather will setup over the Middle East again. Temps will be in the 50’s and 60’s for England warming to the 70’s for Spain and the mid 70’s for Venice Italy. The heat will be on for the Middle East again with high temps rising into the upper 90’s.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on May 9, 2013
Sunny skies will dominate western Africa and into the Cape Verde Islands. Partly cloudy skies will be found from eastern Africa all the way into South Africa. There will be showers associated with a frontal boundary over Madagascar. The temps will be in the 70’s for the Cape Verde Islands across northern Africa, warming to the 80’s for central Africa and cooling down to the upper 60’s for Madagascar and South Africa.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on May 9, 2013
Partly cloudy skies and a very warm day will be in store for northern India. Increasing clouds will be seen over Sri Lanka and eastward towards Singapore. Afternoon showers will be possible from Singapore into Jakarta and northwards toward Malaysia and Thailand. New Delhi, India will be very warm with high temps in the 105-110F range, while southern India into Sri Lanka will see lower 90’s. The temps will be in the upper 80’s for Singapore and also into Jakarta further pushing northward into Thailand.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on May 9, 2013
Mostly cloudy skies will be found across northeast Russia and into the Kuril Islands, while partly cloudy skies extend from Shanghai to Seoul and eastward into Tokyo. There will be a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms for Hong Kong. Manila will see partly cloudy skies and a warm day, while the easterly sea breeze will bring afternoon showers to Guam. Northeast Russia will see high temps in the 50’s and 60’s. Temps will rise into the 70’s for eastern China and pressing eastward to Tokyo. The warmer weather will be in place over Hong Kong with high temps in the lower 80’s. Temps will be in the 90’s for Manila and then under the easterly trade winds look for 80’s in Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for May 9, 2013:
A storm system moving across western Australia will bring thunderstorms to Perth and the west coast, while some of these storms could become severe. Partly cloudy skies will dominate the east coast from Brisbane to Sydney, while showers associated with a frontal boundary will be felt across New Zealand. Temps will be in the 70’s for northwest Australia cooling to the 60’s for Perth and Sydney and only the 50’s for Auckland.
