Weather Forecast for North America on October 18, 2013
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible over portions of the East Coast. This will extend into Greenland, as well. High pressure building over the Plains will bring partly cloudy skies and cooler weather to the area. High pressure will also dominate the west, with mild weather and partly cloudy skies. A few snow showers will be found over northern Canada, trailing back to showers over Alaska along with higher elevation snows. Temps will range from the 30’s over Greenland and northern Canada to the 50’s over the northeast, warming to the 70’s for the southeast and Gulf Coast. Temps will be in the 50’s over the Northern Plains along with the Rockies, while a few 60’s and 70’s will hit the western US.
Weather Forecast for South America on October 18, 2013
Showers will be possible over Peru, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Brazil to northern Argentina and into Chile. A storm system moving across southern Argentina will bring showers to the region along with southern Chile. Temps will range from the 60’s over Peru to the 70’s and 80’s over Brazil and into northern Argentina, cooling to the 60’s over southern Argentina.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 18, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will extend across most of Europe, extending from England to Germany and northward into Norway. Sunny skies will prevail over most of Spain and into Italy, along with the Middle East. Temps will range from the upper 70’s over Germany to the 60’s in England and the 50’s over Norway. From southern Spain to Italy it will be in the 70’s and 80’s, looking at 90’s over the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 18, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will persist from northern Africa. There will be a few showers over central Africa and extending into southern Africa. Temps will range from the 80’s over northern Africa to the 70’s through central Africa. This will also be the case for portions of southern Africa, which will also be dealing with the stronger winds from the frontal boundary.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 18, 2013
There will be an increase in rainfall over portions of India and Sri Lanka associated with the monsoonal trough, while northern India will be dry. There will be a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms from Singapore to Malaysia along with Thailand. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s across the entire region from India to Malaysia.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 18, 2013
High pressure over northern China will bring partly cloudy skies to most of China along with the Korea’s and into Japan. We are watching Typhoon Francisco that is now to the northwest of Guam and moving slowly to the west-northwest, bringing impacts to Japan over the coming days. Partly cloudy skies will also dominate the weather from Hong Kong to Manila. Temps will range from the 30’s over northern China to the 50’s and 60’s over most of Japan, while Southern Japan from Tokyo to Sasebo will see temps in the 70’s. Temps in the 70’s and 80’s over eastern China into Hong Kong, temps will be in the 80’s for Manila along with Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 18, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather over most of Australia, there will be a few showers over northeast Australia. However, temps will be on the warm side with temps in the 90’s for northern Australia, cooling to the 60’s and 70’s for Perth and Sydney.
