Weather Forecast for North America on October 3, 2013
A strong storm system moving through the Plains will bring with it heavy rainfall, heavy snowfall, along with severe weather over the next few days. The development of a tropical feature in the Gulf of Mexico will also start to have impacts along the northern Gulf of Mexico. High pressure along the West Coast will keep the region dry and mild. A new storm system pushing into Alaska will bring showers and snow to the region. Temps will be in the 30’s over Greenland, warming to the 60’s and 70’s over the eastern US, while the southeast and Gulf Coast will be in the 80’s. Temps over the Northern Plains will be in the 70’s for the eastern half and rapidly dropping to the 30’s for the Western Plains along with the Rockies. Temps will be in the 80’s over the southwest and look for 60’s in the Pacific Northwest.
Weather Forecast for South America on October 3, 2013
Partly cloudy skies will persist from Peru to Brazil. This will also be true from Argentina and into Chile, as well. Overall, a tranquil pattern is in place. Temps will be in the 60’s and 70’s over Peru, warming to the 80’s for Brazil and looking at 70’s for northern Argentina cooling to the 50’s for southern Argentina and into southern Chile.
Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 3, 2013
England to France will enjoy partly cloudy skies, while a few showers will be over Norway to Germany. Sunny skies will prevail from southern Spain into Italy and over the Middle East. There may be a few isolated showers over the extreme southwest part of the Middle East near the Red Sea. Temps will be in the 60’s for England, cooling to the 50’s for Norway and even a few 40’s, as well. Temps will be in the 60’s and 70’s for France to Germany, while the 80’s will dominate most of Spain and eastward into Italy. The 90’s and 100’s will be over the Middle East.
Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 3, 2013
A few isolated showers will be possible over northern Africa, otherwise look for partly cloudy skies through the region. There will be an increase in rainfall over central Africa, while southern Africa will see partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s for all of Africa with a few 70’s over the central and southern Africa.
Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 3, 2013
The southwest monsoon will relax over the region, allowing for plenty of sunshine from India to Sri Lanka. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible from Singapore to Malaysia and northward over Vietnam and Thailand. Temps will be in the 80’s and 90’s across the entire region.
Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 3, 2013
High pressure will be over most of eastern China, giving way to partly cloudy skies over most of the region. This will extend into the Korea’s and Japan. The region will also be watching the tropical storm (soon to be typhoon) that will be moving towards Okinawa for increased winds, seas, heavy rainfall and storm surge. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible from Manila to Guam. Temps will be in the 30’s and 40’s over northern Russia, warming to the 50’s for northern Japan. It will further warm to the 70’s over most of eastern China, extending across the Korea’s and into Japan. Temps will be in the 80’s over Hong Kong along with Manila and Guam.
Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 3, 2013
Tropical moisture will be on the increase over Brisbane; otherwise, the rest of Australia will see partly cloudy skies from Perth to Sydney. Temps will range from the 80’s and 90’s over northern Australia cooling to the 70’s over Perth and Sydney.
