International Weather Outlook: October 9, 2013

Weather Forecast for North America on October 9, 2013

Storm system moving up the East Coast will bring showers from Baltimore to New York City, while high pressure over the Gulf Coast and the southeast, along with the Ohio River valley, will make for a nice day. High pressure over the Plains will begin warmth to the region, while a new low pushes into the southwest and portions of the west with showers for the area. Temps will range from the 40’s over northern Greenland to the 60’s along the eastern US and the 70’s and 80’s over the southeast and Gulf Coast. Temps will also be in the 60’s over the Pacific Northwest.

Weather Forecast for South America on October 9, 2013

Showers will be isolated in coverage over Peru, while partly cloudy skies will dominate the weather from Brazil. Showers will also dominate the weather over all of Argentina and southern Chile. Temps will be in the 70’s for Peru to the 80’s in Brazil and the 70’s over northern Argentina to the 50’s over southern Argentina.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on October 9, 2013

A frontal boundary approaching England will bring showers to the region. These showers will extend into northern Europe, as well. Partly cloudy skies will persist from central Europe. Sunny skies will be seen from Spain to Italy and southward into the Middle East. Temps will be in the 40’s over northern Europe, warming to the 60’s over England and into Germany along with France. Temps in the 70’s and 80’s will dominate the region from Spain to Italy. Temps will rise into the 90’s over most of the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on October 9, 2013

Northern Africa along with the Cape Verde Islands will enjoy sunny skies with a few clouds, while showers will dominate most of central Africa. Southern Africa will see sunny skies and breezy conditions with strong winds. Temps will be mostly in the 80’s and 90’s, with a few 70’s over central Africa and also over southern Africa.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on October 9, 2013

The southwest monsoon will be on the increase along with tropical activity over the Bay of Bengal, which will bring showers and thunderstorms to a good portion of India and Sri Lanka, along with other portions of the region. Singapore to Malaysia will have scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Temps will range from the 80’s to the 90’s across the region.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on October 9, 2013

A frontal boundary passing through northeast Russia will bring snow showers to the region, while tropical storm Danas will continue to move in between the Korea’s and Japan over the sea. This will bring showers to both the Korea’s and Japan along with strong winds and some surge. A new tropical depression to the east of Manila will bring heavy rainfall, while Hong Kong will have a few afternoon showers along with Guam.  Temps will be in the 30’s over northeast Russia warming to the 70’s for the Korea’s and Japan, further warming to the 80’s for Hong Kong to Manila and into Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for October 9, 2013

The region will enjoy partly cloudy skies from west to east, including Sydney and Perth, along with Brisbane over the northeast. Temps will be in the 80’s over northern Australia with the 70’s over southern Australia along with a few 60’s.
