International Weather Outlook: September 15, 2013

Weather Forecast for North America on September 15, 2013

Showers will extend from Greenland to eastern Canada and back into the Great Lakes. Tropical storm conditions will be felt from eastern Mexico into southern Texas, while showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the Southern Plains. Expect partly cloudy skies for the west and over Hawaii. Temps will be in the 0-10 range over Greenland, warming to the 20-30 range for northern Canada, further warming to the 60-70 range over the eastern US. Temps will be in the 80-90 range over the southeast and Gulf Coast of the US, while temps will be in the 90’s over the Southern Plains, cooling to the 70’s over the Northern Plains.

Weather Forecast for South America on September 15, 2013

From Peru to Brazil partly cloudy skies will prevail giving way to mostly cloudy skies over northern Chile and northern Argentina. Another frontal boundary moving over southern Argentina and Chile will bring rain and snow showers to the area. Temps will be in the 60’s over Peru will warm to the 70-80’s over Brazil, while temps will be in the 50-60’s over northern Argentina. We will see temps fall to the 20-30’s over southern Argentina and Chile.

Weather Forecast for Europe and the Middle East on September 15, 2013

High pressure to the west of Europe will bring partly cloudy skies to England and northern Europe, while sunny skies will dominate the weather from Spain to Italy and southeastward over the Middle East. Temps will be in the 60-70 range over northern Europe, warming to the 70’s over England and further warming to the 80’s and 90’s for southern Spain to Italy and the 90-100 in the Middle East.

Weather Forecast for Africa and the Cape Verde and Madagascar Islands on September 15, 2013

Northern Africa will see partly cloudy skies, giving way to showers and thunderstorms over Central Africa, while Southern Africa will see partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Africa will be in the 80’s and 90’s, while Southern Africa will be in the 70’s.

Weather Forecast for Southeast Asia on September 15, 2013

The Southwest monsoon will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms from India to Sri-Lanka, while afternoon showers will be possible from Singapore to Malaysia. The region will see temps in the 80-90’s range from India to Singapore and eastward into Malaysia.

Weather Forecast for Eastern Asia and the island of (Guam) on September 15, 2013

Mostly cloudy with showers over northern Russia and northern Japan, while tropical storm conditions are possible from Tokyo south into the Kyushu region of Japan. Hong Kong to Manila and eastward into Guam will be looking at afternoon showers and thunderstorms, as well. Temps will be in the 40’s over northeast Russia warming to the 60’s for northern Japan. Expect the 70’s and 80’s from eastern China into Tokyo, while Hong Kong will see temps in the 80’s along with Manila and Guam.

Weather Forecast for the Island of (New Zealand) and Australia for September 15, 2013

A cold front moving through southwest Australia will bring showers to Perth, while an increase in tropical moisture will bring showers to Brisbane; expect partly cloudy skies over Sydney to Auckland. Northern Australia will see temps in the 70’s, while temps will fall into 50-60’s over southwest Australia and southeast Australia.
