The Green Minute: Three Green Tips Websites

Courtesy of Pat Byington, The Green Register Editor

As the author of The Green Minute, I have the pleasure of reviewing websites that regularly offer “green tips”. In this edition of The Green Minute, we have identified three “go to” websites for readers who are seeking easy to follow eco-friendly tips.

Here are the recommended websites.

Sierra Club – Delivered straight to your e-mailbox, the Sierra Club Green Living Tips have almost every imaginable tip for the eco-friendly consumer.  In fact, this website even provides tips on green dating. Check it out at SierraClub.org/tips.

National Geographic Green Guides – Need a new dishwasher? Water filter? A solar charger? National Geographic Magazine is probably not the first place one would go to find eco-friendly buyer guides, but they do have a pretty extensive and easy to follow listing. Check it out at Environment.NationalGeographic.com.

Spark Energy – Unless you live in the Southwest or Midwest regions of the United States, you have probably never heard of Spark Energy, a natural gas/ electricity company. Along with their energy services, Spark Energy, through their popular blog, has a wellspring of energy efficiency tips. The Green Register particularly enjoyed the blog’s four part  ”Do it Yourself” energy audit series. Check out the Spark Energy Blog at SparkEnergy.com.
