The Illusion Of Sustainability

Courtesy of Steve Richerson, The Green Register Contributor

I’ve been an illusionist for a long time. One day while thinking about perception and misperception, it occurred to me that most people on planet Earth misunderstand or misperceive the relationship that our economic life has with our ecologic life.

This inspired me to create a SLIDESHOW-TALK-PRESENTATION that explains that relationship and how sustainability integrates where we are with where we’d all like to be.

This is a short video (based on that live presentation), that attempts to do the same thing. Basically, it’s my LIVE slideshow with a few more bells and whistles. Enjoy!

Steve is a nationally recognized speaker and consultant. He utilizes his distinct presentation style to speak on the importance of sustainability and showcase ways to enact eco-friendly practices in business. As a member of the USGBC – U.S. Green Building Council, the National Recycling Coalition and the North American Environmental Education Association, Steve is spearheading the campaign to increase profits by reducing wasteful corporate procedures and promote environmentally sound business methods. He’s currently writing an easy to understand eco-sustainability business book called, “What The Hell Is Sustainability.” To learn more about Steve’s speaking, please visit or call 256-710-7216 or email [email protected].
